‘AML Care’ is a website for people whose lives have been impacted by Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (also known as AML).
Our mission is to provide and find dedicated practical information and support for those currently living with AML, their friends, family and loved ones.
This website has been developed and funded by Astellas in conjunction with leading nurses and patient organisations in the UK and Ireland, as well as people living with AML.
Astellas, is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to improving the health of people through innovation. We have dedicated teams of scientists to develop medicines and we also focus on activities working alongside doctors and patients, to better understand their experiences and help share information and support.
An external panel, patient organisations and people living with AML were convened by Astellas to provide input into the content on the site, ensuring it’s scientifically accurate and as practical as possible for those affected by AML.
The panel comprised of four oncology nurses, all of which received honorariums from Astellas for their services:
Nottingham University Hospitals
Belfast Trust
St. Vincent’s University Hospital
University Hospital Galway
People living with AML who have shared their story and insights for the benefit of others, and ensured the sites authenticity and relevance:
